Michael J. Underhill, Esq.

Firm Overview

My firm handles legal matters in the following practice areas: Trial Practice, Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Products Liability, Catastrophic Injury, Wrongful Death, Automobile Accidents and Injuries, Slip and Fall, General Negligence, Insurance Claims and Settlements.

I have helped thousands of people and their families achieve the best possible result with their injury case. When a person is seriously injured or a family member killed due to the negligence of a person or corporation, the negligent person's insurance company or the corporation rarely steps forward to offer financial assistance or restitution. I truly believe that my business and profession helps those persons in need.

The majority of the cases I handle involve general negligence. This is true whether the case concerns an automobile accident involving serious injury, wrongful death or is in the nature of an industrial accident from product liability. Most cases are resolved by negotiation with the insurance representative for the responsible party. Many of the rest are settled by arbitration or mediation. I have thoroughly learned the principles of negligence, insurance law and trial procedure through hundreds of trials. I actively practice throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut and have handled cases in California, Florida, New Jersey, New York and Texas. Whether the best possible insurance settlement is going to be reached by negotiation or trial, you will always benefit from experienced and knowledgeable counsel.
